How Remote Online Notarization Works

  1. Schedule your appointment. Complete the online request form and upload the document you need notarized.
  2. We review your document. Notary Prime LLC will review the request and confirm that the document can be completed through Remote Online Notarization.
  3. Receive your secure session link. Approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment, you will receive a secure link by email or text message to join your online notarization session.
  4. Complete identity verification. Before entering the notarization session, the secure platform will guide you through the required identity verification process using your government-issued photo ID and any additional verification required by the platform.
  5. Join from your device. You may join using a compatible smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer with a working camera, microphone, and reliable internet connection.
  6. Meet with your notary online. Once identity verification is complete, you will meet with the notary through a secure live audio-video session to sign and notarize your document.
  7. Receive your completed document. After the session is completed, your electronically notarized document will be provided to you electronically.

Remote Online Notarization Pricing

Technology Fee $20
Required one-time fee per online session.
Notarization $25 Each
Charged for each notarization (stamp) needed during the online session.

Example: If your document requires one notarization, your total would be $45 — a $20 technology fee plus one $25 notarization. Additional notarizations are $25 each.

Payment & Rescheduling: Full payment is required when booking. Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, and your payment will transfer to the rescheduled appointment. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment may require a new payment.

Successful identity verification is required before the notarization can proceed. If the required identity verification cannot be successfully completed and the appointment cannot continue, the payment is non-refundable. Payment will not be refunded because the appointment time has been reserved and preparation and platform-related services have already been provided.

What happens if I need to reschedule or cannot complete identity verification?
You may reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice, and your payment will transfer to the new appointment. Not every document is appropriate for Remote Online Notarization. Eligibility may depend on the document type, receiving agency, destination, and other requirements. We review your document before the appointment whenever possible.
Can witnesses join a remote online notarization?
Yes, witnesses may be able to participate remotely when permitted for the document. Please let us know in advance if your document requires witnesses so the session can be arranged properly.
How much does Remote Online Notarization cost?
There is a $20 technology fee per online session plus $25 for each notarization needed. For example, one notarization would total $40.
How long does a remote online notarization take?
Many straightforward online notarizations can be completed within a short session. Timing depends on the document, number of signers, identity verification, number of notarizations, and any witness requirements.
